Dalton Ghetti is a Brazilian-born artist and carpenter. In 1985 he moved to the U.S. from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Dalton Ghetti creates stunning miniature masterpieces on the tips of pencils, for 30 years. You can see many things in his amazing and diverse collection. From saw to boot, hammer to mailbox and plate to Giraffe, these fragile pieces are simply awesome. He use only three tools to make these. Just razor blade, sewing needle and sculpting knife are used and believe it or not he doesn’t use a magnifying glass. It could take several months and even years to make one piece of pencil tip sculpture neatly and perfectly.
Talking to new york times, Mr Dalton said “The pencil tip is great; it’s like a pure, very homogenous material, it cuts in the same direction, not like wood, which has a grain. But when I tell people how long it takes, that’s when they don’t believe it. That’s what amazes people more, the patience. Because everything nowadays has to be fast, fast, fast.”
